All About Dressmaking

It has been fantastic weather this week, sunshine and blue skies, I have been making most of it by being outdoors so not much crafting in the cabin, I have been making a few purchases in readiness for some marathon dressmaking sessions that I have planned.
I really love vintage styles and couldn't resist these patterns, the walkaway dress in the second photo on the right was on the Great British Sewing Bee, it takes an vast amount of fabric approx 5 yards but I really fancy giving it a go. I did have a couple of vintage dress patterns that I loaned out and they were never returned that was about 10 years ago, I don't even have the contact details any more of the person I loaned them to, they were originals as well.
These five patterns came free with the two sewing magazines I picked up this week, so I have plenty of patterns to add to my collection.
Have you seen this new part work
issue 1 is 99p I picked it up in Tesco last night, its published weekly, you get a set of pencils and a sharpener with the first issue, I do like the designs inside, nothing beats a bit of colouring in with a cuppa, I am still undecided if I want to get it on a regular basis.

  1. I have loads of patterns from 70s and 80s, just could not part with them.

  2. I thought I might buy the colouring set for my eldest daughter as a Easter present. She loves colouring. Love the bag and wish I had a cabin to craft in! So very jealous!
