A Mix Bag Of Things

A couple of bags I have made up ready to sell, the first one I have used cork fabric, it is real cork I have been itching to use it on something
This one I love the colours on
A landscape art bag, I have made this one for myself but I am going to make some more up in different designs to add to my stock lines.
I dont think I have showed these, fidget spinner cases, I have been making these from recycled denim.
I loved making this little mouse, she is only 4 inches tall again I am going to make up some more.

work in progress, this tweed applique will be a wall hanging, I have added 3d voile leaves to it
and something for me, during the hot spell we had I needed something cool to wear, tailored shorts are just too uncomfortable, so I made up some culottes, they were so comfortable and cool I have now made up several pairs.

I am working on setting up an online shop, it is again work in progress and hope in the next few weeks I will have it up and running, more news and a link to come when I have it ready.

A Few New Things

I have been making up a few new things ready for my stall next month.
I had the idea of doing some medic alert seat belt covers, that can personalised with names if wanted and medical conditions.
They are fastened onto the seat belt with kam snaps, and washable.
 A 3d dragon dreamcatchers

He is all stitched out on organza

I also stitched out Horatio Owl, he stands 15 inches tall and is fitted with a proper working clock
Today has been some fun glove puppets
They are all made from fleece.

A Special Big Project

I have spent the last few months making preparations to do a special big sewing project.
This time it is for us
The Golden Tapestry,  collection was inspired by the tapestries, paintings, ornate furniture and engravings in the Palace of Versailles in Paris, France
I bought the design back in summer and have been collecting together everything I need for it.
Silk Dupion for the fabric, gold metallic thread, stabilisers, batting and interfacing.
For the main part I have chosen Black silk dupion, stitched with gold metallic thread, the border I am doing in gold silk dupion with black stitching.
I have done the first six panels of the background

There are 32 panels for the background alone, then another 28 for the border, it will be 50 x 40 inches when finished
Once all the panels are done they are joined together like a jigsaw.
It is all being done on my embroider machine.

I have been really looking forward to getting this started.

45 Done 35 to go

Unless I miss counted I now have 45 blocks of THE QUILT done and 35 to go
Got another three done today so headway is being made, I might even get another done tonight yet.

I also made two fairy doors for my daughter, they are made from air dry clay using a mould.
She wants them plain so she can paint them herself.
Air dry clay is very lightweight they will be easy to post.
Her idea is to put one in the little ones room fixed to skirting board so she thinks the fairy's live there, I have some little key charms I am going to send with the doors as well.
The second one is for her friend.

Finishing Dream

At last I got my dream finished, I put an undercoat on some time ago and then did nothing more with it, I finally got round to painting it.
I used Pink Teal and Vanilla antique chalk effect paint, now I just have to the partner Relax.

Thought Provoking

They are everywhere in the shops, comments, proverbs and sayings they seem to be the in thing, I have often looked at them in the shops and fancied having a few in the house, I thought I would make my own thought provoking little plaques, I made this one today.
I cut out the lettering and words from sticky vinyl with the silhouette, its all mounted onto some mount board and I inked around the edges blending and fading the ink into the middle, I used the big bite to set some eyelets to thread some ribbon through.
All very simple and straight forward to do.
