Burning and Folding

I have been playing around with Pyrography, I haven't really done any for a long time

First up was this box

I used a stencil to draw out the design then set to burning it out, the lid has now been varnished, I use this box to keep all the different pyrography nibs in.

I then moved onto my book

This wooden covered note book is what I use to write recipes in that I have tried and adapted that I use time and again, again it has been varnished.

I sat and did another folded book while watching TV last night

I need to get it covered and decorated now.

Book Folding Art

While my daughter has been down visiting, we had a go at a new craft for the two of us,

Book Folding Art, it is something I have admired for some time.

This is the one I did

This is the one my daughter did.

Both the same we have spent the last couple of evenings doing them.

At first we both made a big mistake and measured from the wrong place and didn't discover until we were half way through it so had to start again, not a mistake we will make again.

We both want to go on and make some other designs now, the books are yet to be decorated to finish them off.
